The following events are scheduled at our local Public Library.

Telling Your Story: Seniors' Writing Workshop series (Sydenham)

When: September 18, 2018 - 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Where: Sydenham Branch at Community Room

This is a repeat of the workshop series offered March 29 through April 26, 2018.

Whether you are writing a family history or a personal memoir, this five-session series of weekly workshops by award-winning author Jean Rae Baxter will help you to create a narrative that people will want to read. By the end of the fifth session you will have a story to keep, to share with family and friends, and to pass on to the next generation.

You will learn by writing, so expect two to three hours of homework each week. Please ensure that you will be able to attend all five weekly sessions. You will be asked for your KFPL card number when you register.

Family Storytime (Sydenham)

When: September 21, 2018 - 10:30 AM - 11:15 AM
Where: Sydenham Branch at Community Room

The whole family is encouraged to participate actively in stories, songs and movement activities to maximize your child’s experience in learning socialization and pre-reading skills for life. For children of all ages, recommended for ages 6 and under.

Rhythm and Rhyme (Sydenham)

When: September 24, 2018 - 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM
Where: Sydenham Branch at Community Room

Through rhythm, rhyme and movement, children three and under will naturally develop language and increase their ability to hear the smaller sounds in words. Experience hands-on play with bells, rhythm sticks, scarves, shakers and more. For ages 3 and under.
